Wow...I didn't realize how long it had been since I last wrote a blog...It shows me just how much this semester of college truly did suck and basically took over my life for 5 months. But, now I can't believe it's over. I can still remember the arch ceremony freshman year, walking onto campus the first time, and wondering what the next 4 years would bring. It is amazing to think those 4 years are over. I went through a lot of heartache in those 4 years...Too much actually. Mr. Beck leaving, Mr. Greenwood dying, the communication department going to crap, Matt and I breaking up for a month, my entire junior year of college, and losing many friends that had come into my life along the way. But, I really am going to miss everything. Would I do the past 4 years over again...Honestly, probably not. I will really miss school, though, and I will miss the friendships that helped throughout my college career, but I don't think I would do it again. But anyway, graduation was a snooze-fest yesterday. 780 students is just way too many, and of course everyone has their name read off. And then it rained for the arch ceremony (of course), so that just kind of sucked. But even though graduation sucked, I'm glad I did it because I really do see it as the last thing I will ever do for my college career and without it, I would have had no closure. Now I just have to wait for my actual diploma to come in the mail. Horray!
Ok, enough about that. Now Matt and I have to get ready for the big move up to Toledo. I'm SOOOOO excited! I can't wait to live in a big city, and I know Toledo pretty well, so I'm thrilled about it. Not to mention we are going to be saving a lot of money on rent and utilities every month! Hooray!! Ohh, and of course I'm waiting to hear back from 13abc about the producer position. I'm not too worried about it yet, though, because the producer doesn't quit until June, so I honestly don't expect to hear much until the middle of May or later. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed though because I REALLY want this job!!
Since I haven't blogged in forever, I feel I need to talk about our animals! Jay is going to be a year old in June! I can't believe we got him last summer! It feels like we just got him last month or something! He's turning into a well-behaved, well-mannered dog. He still has his crazy spells, but with the energy he has, it doesn't surprise me much. Our bunny is doing great! We got him back in March and he's a funny little guy. His favorite time of the day is feeding time and he bounces back and forth in his cage when I'm filling his bowl. The two new birds have made the previous two soooo much happier. They are all constantly chirping and talking to each other and they are all just very happy birds. They still hate humans, but hey, at least they like each other! Ohh, and although these aren't mine, I have to at least say something about Erica's new kittens!! They are adorable! I can't wait until they get bigger so Jay and them can play together! He was so in love with them when we went to visit the day she got them! Haha
So anyway, now it's time to deal with the fact that I'm starting real life. Yicks...Scary!! I really am going to miss school. I've always enjoyed classes and even though I sometimes complain about papers and assignments, I love it all. I really might have to seriously consider grad school because I think I'm just going to miss learning way too much. Until then, though, I have to concentrate on the real world - getting a read job that gives insurance, paying for all of my own things in life, and just knowing I'm out there on my own now. Saying I'm a college grad though really feels good I have to admit!!
